Why high income doesn't dissolve the anxiety
Income solves cash-flow problems. It doesn't solve uncertainty problems. The anxiety most high earners feel isn't 'will this month's bills get paid' — it's 'will we still be okay if X happens?' That's a forecasting question, and a budget can't answer it.
- Anxiety = uncertainty without a model
- Income raises the floor but not the ceiling on worry
- A credible forecast typically lowers reported stress dramatically
